The sand coloured cub walked with a skip in her step, thankful to have finally escaped the other prideland cubs. It meant she could finally train without those other losers asking her to play all the time. At last, she could get on with making something of herself rather than becoming another doof. The pride already had too many of them. They needed skilled creatures, not fools who have done nothing with their life but mess around. She had crossed most of the pridelands and, being young still had no true idea of the boundaries and had stepped right over them, fascinated with the area ahead of her. There were so many bones, elephant bones and the lot. Could this be that place Simba and Nala had once come back calling frightening... What was it called? Oh, that was it, the elephant graveyard. She flicked her tassel and jumped down a level into the bone-strewn area and held her head high. This place wasn't so scary. In fact, ti would make a great area to train in and, because Simba had been so scared of it, none of the others would bother her. She crouched, stalking an old bone and pounced on it, sinking teeth and claws into the old material, falling and landing on her back. Amber eyes lit up as she looked behind her and her nose seemed to pick up recent scents but they were no doubt long gone by now. What a place this was. hell, she might even make herself at home where she can be happy forever. Or at least for half of the time. Training, eating, sleeping... Away from Scar and the scaredy cats. yes, this place was begining to sound better and better.

During her short time here in the pridelands the young lioness had nothing but trouble. The other cubs didn’t like her all that much because she was from the “rogue” pride. They all saw her as this menace or something evil that hid in the shadows. In all her time here she had yet to make a friend, which was rather depressing. She was a good cub, and it showed with her loyalty to her sister and mother. The pride meant everything to her and she was determined to make her sister very pleased as she got older. If they were going to stay here she was going to toughen up and become a fighter. That way she could defend herself from those annoying cubs, those snooty cubs. Her teeth ground together as she walked along in silence, her paws easily moving over the unfamiliar landscape. For the first few nights the entire pride had slept in and around the elephant graveyard, finding comfort in the darkness. This place was safe now that the hyena had left and found a home in the pride lands.
So she didn’t think anything of it. Traveling here was no big deal to the young former princess. Smelling the air, she picked up the scent of another young lion. Instantly she went to investigate this smell, knowing that she would probably get into a fight should it be a snooty cub. Rounding a corner she saw the other young lioness wrestling with a bone, a soft giggle escaped her as she approached. This cub was unfamiliar to her, she seemed rather different. Being here alone in a graveyard made her different, most cubs wouldn’t even come near here.
“Hello there. I am Ulilya. What’s your name?”
Came her soft question, her eyes gleaming with amusement and interest in the other lioness. Perhaps if she was cool, they could strike up a friendship. That would be most wonderful, since that’s what she had wanted all along.
