The Shade is the nickname of a patch of acacia trees that are found on the south-eastern part of Pride Rock. The Shade is a very beautiful area in which the pride itself spends alot of time together. Lionessess like to bring their cubs here for it provides the children with lots of rocks and trees to play on under the watchful eye of the pride.
