Rust coloured eyes swept the grassy hills. The tan queen sat atop the highest of them all, no doubt to get a good vantage point of the area. Coal black claws idly raked the ground as she glanced about. Her tail flicked side to side and her notched ear perked forth.
Turning her gaze skyward, she figured now would be the best time to ask her mother and her sibling on their opinions of Scar's offer to her and her pride. Pushing her hind legs up, she stood gracefully. She closed her eyes as a gentle breeze swept across the hillside and ruffled her pelt.
Tossing her head back, she gave a low roar, followed by three short chuffs. This was how she called her family. She of course had different calls for each member of her pride and then calls for a specific group. Lowering her head slightly, she overlooked the lands once again. Her rust eyes turned to gaze at the mighty cope that Scar and his females resided in.
She was curious as to what went on over there, but in time, she would soon know. Slowly easing back onto her hind legs, she awaited her closest friends to arrive.

Uliliya was quickly growing, the frequent meals and plentiful water supply assured the young lioness a good chance in life. She had grown a few inches since arrival and had put on some weight, no longer was she a mere rack of bones. The Queen’s sister walked the lands quietly, her ears twitching about cautiously. As of yet they were not welcomed in these lands and so she kept on alert for any possible threats. The lionesses that lived on the giant rock disliked her family and pride, and a few minor scuffles had already broken out. The pre-teen stopped as she heard her sisters call, her own mouth opened to utter a low chuff in response. Letting her know that she was coming, just it was going to take a little while. She picked up the pace and settled into a slow jog as she searched for her sister. They had a really close bond and she enjoyed her company above all others, even those her own age.
Catching sight of her up on a hill she swiftly approached, a small smile on her features. She gave her a small bow before bumping her head against her shoulder in a sign of affection. Purring softly the young lioness took a seat and looked around. Obviously she was waiting for their mother to arrive as well. Uliliya was excited to see her mother, it had been a few days since they had crossed paths. She had been hanging out with some of the other lionesses, and was certain her mom was happy for the break.
“It’s nice to be surrounded by family again. It gives me such a wonderful feeling..”
She stated in a happy voice, her tail twitching absently behind her.

Osoro looked over the lands with a playful gaze. The pridelands were magnificent, the perfect place for fun and games. He was already making himself at home here, despite the fact that he hadn't been accepted yet. After all, he wasn't the time to hang up on some small inconvenience like that. All he wanted to do was have fun and, honestly, that is what he'd been doing. The well-built brute had grown in strength since arriving here due to the good nourishment and his once skinny frame now showed the build that his father had had when he was alive. It was impressive to say he'd had nothing on him until recently. At his sister's call Osoro looked up and sighed, his ears folsing against his skull. Time with Zira was never fun anymore, she had nothing but that serious tone. You'd think she didn't have time for fun. Plus, she had no right to scold him. Still, he knew he had no choice but to answer the call and replied with the same low chuff that let her know he was on his way, thankful to hear his younger sister's also. With that better news a smile lit up Osoro's handsome features and he ran across the savannah, muscles rippling beneath his brown pelt until he was forced to skid to a halt, crashing and scraping his leg. Osoro looked at the injury and laughed. It just wouldn't have been the same, seeing his family without some kind of injury, would it? How did that tree even get there? It hadn't been there several minutes before. He shrugged and, laughing, set off a little slower this time and soon saw the forms of his two sisters. The sight of growing Ulilya made him smile and as he got closer he mudged her, sitting and eyeing Zira. He didn't ency her her place, he just grew bored with her moods.

Sad eyes looked over the land. She often sat alone in sadness these days. The pride she was queen of was dead, along with her beloved mate. Why had everything changed? She was still quite young. Luckaly, Zira had shown signs of great leadership. If only the rogues hand't come...
Her ears perked as she heard her daughter's call. What could this be about? Had Zira found them a home? The ess walked gracefully through the area. It was a miracle Zira was able to keep the scattered pride together so well. Rivena was proud.
As she came upon the meeting area, she found her children. Penzi was the only one absent. She huffed softly to Uliliya. She was growing so fast.
"Hello Zira, Uliliya, and Osoro. What news have you heard my daughter?"

A smile came to her maw as she watched Uliliya come bounding. she had indeed thought that she would most likely be the first to answer her call. At the bow, she too, nodded her head in greeting. A soft but rare giggle sounded at the headbut. Picking up her right arm, she draped around her sisters smaller body, gently nuzzling her chin to Ulilya's forehead.
Her rust eyes flicked upward, scenting her brother approach. She removed her arm and held her head high as she looked to him, acknowledging his recent injury. She rolled her eyes slightly, a soft smile upon her face.
" So what did you do this time, Osoro?"
As soon as the playful question left her lips, she flicked an ear hearing her mother's voice. She purred as she swiftly stood and let her tongue rasp up between her mothers eyes lovingly. She backed up a few steps before glancing around for little Penzi, but not seeing or scenting her nearby, she thought she might as well start off the meeting.
Turning to look at her mother, brother and sister fully, she began;
"I had finally managed a meeting with the pride's so called king. Scrawny little fellow, not too high on appearances, but he is the king here. It seems that news of our intentions had somehow gotten to him, and he is offering us a chance to stay here and ally with him. I wanted to know your feelings on the matter before I approached him with my decision."

The young lioness giggled softly as she felt her sister’s limb wrap around her for a moment, a happy purr echoing in her chest. In her mind the moment ended all to quickly when her brother showed himself, scratched up and looking annoyed. A more devious grin came across her face and the younger sister quickly bolted towards him. Her actions were quite playful as she moved to scratch at his face, her claws sheathed before she whirled around and jumped onto his back. Louder laughter expelled from her mouth as she climbed all over Osoro before dropping down beside the much larger male lion. Panting quietly she turned to watch her mother quietly approaching the small group, genuine love sparkling in her eyes as she waited for her to join them. It seemed that her baby sister would be staying with the pride, which was probably the best choice anyway. After her sister approached their mother, she did too, running her body up along side her mom in a gentle manner.
Things however soon got down to business and Zira made a mention of the pride and their King. Uliliya listened with patience and then looked at the ground for a long moment. The young lioness was thinking it all over in her head. By staying here they were guaranteed food and shelter, and these lands were quite beautiful to look upon.
“I believe we should give this place a chance sister. Most of us have gained a lot of weight and muscle during our short time here in this plentiful lands. Besides if the King isn’t that threatening why worry about it? You could probably take him on yourself if you had to..”
She stated in a cheeky voice, her eyes dazzling with a variety of emotion. The last thing she wanted was to have to move on again. Most of the pride felt content to be here amongst these lands, and truly what could stop them? The other lionesses? That was very doubtful, they all seemed really skittish.

Osoro looked to his sister and sighed, shaking his head and about to answer when Ulilya jumped on him, quite literally. His sister's form covered his for a while and when she finally climbed off he pushed her softly with a powerful front limb, laughing heartily. It was always Ulilya that managed to cheer him up, especially at meetings like these where he tended to feel under appreciated.
"Mother," he purred, watching as his siblings greeted the lioness before approaching and butting her softly, his eyes gleaming with happiness. He really was like a big cub and he loved his mother's presence. He smiled at her and then padded away from the lioness to stalk behind Ulilya, tassel lashing playfully. A soft growl rolled from his lips and he was about to pounce when his sister spoke. He turned to look at Zira and listened to what she had to say.
"I, too, agree that we should stay and give these lands a chance. I mean, really, I;ve never been anywhere so great." he told her brightly as he smirked at Ulilya. No doubt they would soon be playing. Just as soon as this meeting finished. If he lasted that long. being serious really wasn't one of his strong points. He just wanted to have fun.

Rivena smiled. She wanted a home so dearly. Eversince her violent dethroning... Sadly, she was unaware of the change that was happening in Zira. The ess purred at her family. True happiness in her eyes.
"Yes Zira. We need a place to stay. Poor Penzi and Uliliya need homes. We need a home. A safe place. These.. Pridelander lionesses seem very nice."
She mewed. Rivena enjoyed the company of other lioness and began to worry about her pride. Some members have begun to change, others left. The former queen was very distraught by this. She was still young herself but felt so tired of travel.

Rust eyes followed each feline as they all agreed on staying. She slowly nodded her angular head as she thought silently to herself. After a moment of watching Uliliya and Osoro with their playful antics, she rose her head to look upon her mother.
"Alright then. Before I go request his presence, do any of you have any questions you'd like me to ask him?"
She had a few of her own, but she always liked her family's input. While she waited for their answer, her reddish eyes zoned in on her brother. Swiftly standing, she walked over beside him and swung her hip against his, a smirk upon her maw.
It was true that she had been all business lately and she indeed missed playing with her siblings. While she wasn't about to start pouncing her brother and rolling about in the dirt, she still felt like a wee bit of playful nudging.

She was keenly aware of every move Osoro made, but she didn’t react just yet. This was a serious conversation and to act like a baby would make her sister upset. Beside she had to start growing up sometime, and now seemed to be a good time to do it. Listening to what the others said she then turned to face her eldest sister. It seemed that they would be staying here within these lands, as long as the offer still stood with the King. Ulilya had yet to meet this supposed King, and wondered if he was charming and dashing like all Kings were supposed to be. Her tail twitched absently as she heard her sister ask if they had any questions for him, and she pondered this silently. The only thing that bothered her was why the lands had so many hyena roaming them. It seemed rather strange to see hyena and lion getting along so well with one another. That and what of the resident pride? Would they truly welcome another pride into their territory?
“I have a few things to ask actually sister. I want to know why hyena are allowed to roam these lands? That and I want to know if the other pride is going to accept us or if we’re going to be at odds with the lot of them..”
Her voice remained quiet, her body posture rather tense. There had been a few fights between the two prides already and she knew it would only get worse. Lionesses were just as territorial as the lions were, if not more so. Turning slightly she eyed her elder brother silently a lazy yet determined smirk crossing her pretty features. He was one of the very few adults that still like to mess around and play, which was why he was so popular amongst the younger lions in their family. Osoro was always the one to go to if you wanted to have a fun time.
Growling playfully, she crouched in the grass shoulders rolling with power. Her tail snaking along in the grass as she waited for the perfect moment to pounce upon him.

Osoro watched his younger sister suspiciously and shook his head in a disapproving fashion. Just what was she doing? Why was she being boring? Even Zira seemed to be in a more playful mood than she was, and that was very unusual. Responding to the older sister's nudge he nudged her back softly and looked to Ulilya. "Brighten up, kiddo. You'll never make friends being all grouchy." he told her and moved over, lowering his head to his sister's ear. "You'll end up like her." He looked to Zira who he found was often quite grumpy and then moved away from the boring sisters, tassel flicking in bored fashion, ears laid against his skull in displeasure. Where was everyone's sense of enjoyment today? "Yeah like she said, these darned hyena are doing my head in. they walk around like they own the damn place." he growled at the idea of them. Even fun-loving Osoro could find nothing good in the presence of the mangy mutts. Shaking his mane he sighed. "You could always ask him where the finest ladies can be found?" he joked, knowing that if he wanted a mate he'd have to calm down... But the idea of calming down was not a good one.
