The days since the death of the king and his son had been a blur, a sort of stupor Nala had been unable to shake. Scar's annunciation of the accident, the cold, emotionless words of sorrow and regret - still rung in her ears. She was in shock. Had it not been yesterday that she last saw Simba? The day before that they had been scolded for teasing Zazu. Or was that last week? Time moved too quickly, yet at the same time, not at all.
Nala lay, slumped in a heap under the shade of an Acacia tree. There were not many cubs around Pride Rock now, after Scar set up new rules. But Nala didn't exactly pay attention to that. It wasn't out of disrespect or anything of the sort... In fact, Nala would prefer to stay as far way from the new King Scar as possible... But her paws led her to a place familiar.
Nala let out a shaky, weary breath and curled herself into a tighter ball, willing herself not to burst into tears.

After a long night out on leopard rock, the dark colored cub walked with a purpose towards pride rock. She was in a desperate need to see her mother and just get some comfort from the other adult lionesses. Kula's steps were quick and soundless as she walked the familiar path ways of her youth. Even though she was still a cub she felt a lot older now that she spent so much time by herself. Both ears flickered tiredly and a soft cry escaped her as she searched for her mom. Instead she came across the lying form of Nala. Worry etched across her features as she watched her cousin's body.
The death of the prince had effected her the hardest out of all the cubs. Looking around cautiously the lioness cub approached her friend and sat down close to where she lay. Brown eyes looked down upon her cousin and close friend, wishing to help her but not knowing exactly how to do that. She sighed softly and raised a paw to gently rub Nala's back. Unsure of what words needed to be said right now.
Death was still a new thing to her.. and Kula didn't really like to dwell on such things. Tears stung her eyes as she looked at her friend, the distant cackles of hyena ringing in her ears. She hated being here near pride rock, it was always so dangerous. Absently, she looked around for the source of the cackles.
"Nala, we shouldn't be here.. We should probably go before something bad happens.."
She mumbled softly and hissed at the sound of demented hyena laughter. Indeed this was not a good situation to be in. [/color]

.::the sweet lil' warrior::. The soft looking cub looked around for Kula and Nala. Her light golden coat shined dimly as the sun tried to pass the thick clouds. Tama's ears were folded back slighty, her eyelides heavy with grief. It was amazing how fast things can turn to the worst in just seconds. Simba, was on longer there for her to ignore, yet just that thought of him not being around brought storm clouds over her heart. Just like how the rainy season brought feirce rains to fall. Then, Nala and Kula were hurt so much by it, which too, stabbed her in the heart. So much pain filled everyones mind throught out the pride. Even when Scar tried to make things better, it failed, and no one felt better. Yet, Tama tried to get everyone's hopes up. That too, has seemed to fail. Her tail hanging limp, with her honey brown tassil brushing lightly from side to side. Her ears perked, hearing the faint sounds of Kula and Nala. Smiling she troated over to them, nuzzling Kula. Then Nala, just when she saw her eyes starting to water. Tama's eyes feel to her feet as she sat next to her, yet no tears dared to stain her coat. I know. It's been a hard time for us all. Some how we'll get through this tragedy. Tama's eyes soon found Kula's, a light smile appearing on her face. Just rounded the corners slightly, not showing any signs of happyness. It was a half hearted smile that appeared on to her features. Kumi Kumi had be wandering around for awhile. Trying to avoid Scar as much as he could. He already was on the edge with being able to stay into the pride. With having no mother and being an orphan, nor being fathered by Scar, and the fact that he could easly become competion when he becomes a teen makes him a prime lion to get kicked out. Which he rather not happen to him, even though he is a good hunter, it's just that he rather not. His thick tuff that fell into his eyes, and ran down his back and on to his shoulders flowed lightly in the wind. It wasn't that hard to tell it shall be raining soon, sooner or later, he would have to head back to Leopard's Rock. Like he'd want to get his mane wet after he just cleaned it. As he walked on, he spotted three lionesses, which he knew. Perking up he walked over to see what all the fussing was about. Raising his left eyebrow he walked up to them, just curious. Now what are we crying about here. he asked. Right now he hadn't been around anyone from the pride with in the last week. Only hearing things, which he thought were rumors.
